What do I wear?
When do I schedule?
Maternity photo shoots should be scheduled at 27-30 weeks. At this time, your belly will be round and fully noticeable in a photograph, and the last (sometimes uncomfortable) phase of your pregnancy will be avoided.
Newborn photos are best scheduled within the first 2 weeks after birth. Of course, this can't always be perfectly predicted! We can arrange a tentative date and then adjust accordingly.
The "style" of your maternity shoot will be guided by your taste and created by me. I connect with all of my clients prior to any session to get a sense of the look they're trying to achieve and give my best tips on clothing and accessories.
I love to hold newborn session in-home using the newborn's actual crib and nursery as the backdrop, so that the photos look as natural as possible. This means parent's clothing should be casual and comfortable to match the style of the session.
